The 50th running of the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona has come and gone, and what an exciting race it was! The Starworks #8 Ford Daytona Prototype team consisting of Enzo Potolicchio, Alex Popow, Ryan Dalziel, Alan McNish and Lucas Luhr had an incredible race, with a 2nd place finish! The team had qualified first on pole, set the fastest lap of the race and had one of the greatest 24 hour battles with the #60 Daytona Prototype at the end of the race. A big congratulations to these drivers and the crew for their effort. This Grand-Am season should be quite exciting!
A local customer brought in his 2008 Range Rover HSE with the idea to give it the look of the 2012 model that is not available on show room floors yet. This was the first one known to be performed on a 2008 model in the Southeast. The end result looks fantastic, with the new LED headlights, front bumper, front fenders, fender side vents and rear LED third brake lamp.

Congratulations to drivers Enzo Potolicchio and Ryan Dalziel for capturing first place with their No. 8 Starworks Daytona Prototype at the final race of the Grand-Am season in Mid-Ohio! Enzo started the race and maintained a steady pace, handing over control to Ryan who managed to work his way to the front of the pack and maintain position. This was Enzo Potolicchio's first win in a Grand-Am series race, and what a way to close out his rookie season. Good luck to both drivers next season!

This weekend Grand Am will be returning to Road America. The #2 Prototype team of Enzo Potolicchio and Alex Popow will be entering this race with a new prototype. After the crash at Watkins Glen which left them out of the race, there was no chance to recover the vehicle. As a result of that crash, they will be entering their new Prototype. This DP was one of Penskes chassis from 2009. It will be powered by a Porsche 4.0L engine. With this new platform, Potolicchio and Popow are looking to grab their first podium in Grand-Am. Good luck to both drivers!

Congratulations to drivers Enzo Potolicchio and Alex Popow for placing 7th overall and finishing the 2011 Grand Prix of Miami. Their number 2 Daytona Prototype held strong the entire race with no malfunctions. Their teammates' car, number 8, was not so fortunate. After leading for several laps, a piece of debris pierced through their radiator and ended their race early. The number 2 car started in the back of the field, with Alex Popow as the starting driver. Alex managed to push through the pack up to position 5 before swapping driver position with Enzo Potolicchio. Enzo went out strong and kept the pace Alex had maintained, but fell back to position 7 after soft tire problems. The team completed all 116 laps, with a fastest lap of 1:16.187. Alex Popow was awarded with the race's Trueman/Akin Award and a gift certificate for a "taste of the track" experience. This award is presented to the highest finishing Pro-Am Driver in the DP and GT classes. Congratulations to both Enzo and Alex! On to the next race at Barber Motorsports Park.

Porsche Club of America held it's annual 48 Hours at Sebring event again this year for the 18th time. TuneRS was in attendance for this great 4 day event with many other race teams and vendors from all over the country. TuneRS debuted the Innovative Endoscopy Components RS America for the first time as well, and recieved great results with it! Mike Potolicchio piloted the RS America, and on the first day the gear selector rod gave out due to fatigue, but thanks to the guys over at Parts Heaven in california for overnighting the part to us at the track! The weekend was saved due all in part to Parts Heaven. Mike was able to continue on for the rest of the weekend, even after suffering the transmission failure and 3 belt failures. Thanks again to Porsche Club of America for putting on this great event at Sebring!
